It’s official – the KC Stadium has today (Friday 1 July) formally become the KCOM Stadium, with vibrant new signage and branding in place to reflect its change of name.
The change follows the decision by long-standing stadium sponsor KC to bring together all its brands under a single name and new visual identity last April. While sports commentators and some media outlets have referred to the venue as the KCOM Stadium since then, the Stadium Management Company and KCOM agreed to wait until the end of the football season before making the name change official.
Signage both outside and within the stadium is being updated in keeping with the new name and the KCOM brand.
KCOM has broadened its sponsorship of the stadium to include prominent branding on each of the stands, as well as high-impact pitch-side LED advertising.
Simon King, Commercial Manager at SuperStadium Management Company said: “The interior of the stadium has been given a completely new and vibrant look thanks to KCOM’s extended sponsorship and its new branding.
“In common with other Premier League venues, we now have just one stadium sponsor. We’re delighted with how it looks and we hope fans will be too.”
KCOM Executive Vice President, Gary Young said: “The KCOM Stadium gives us a great opportunity to showcase our new brand identity, not just to a regional audience but also to an international one, thanks to the success of our local sports teams.
“When we were offered the chance to extend our sponsorship to the interior of the stadium, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to take our brand presence at the venue to a new level.
“We have some exciting plans to enhance the match day experience of supporters over the coming months. In the meantime, we hope they like the stadium’s new look.”
